His job got even bigger ever since Roman Reigns had to go away from the show. He received double duties while entertaining the people as well as dealing a backstab from his closest friend.
Dean Ambrose betrayed Seth Rollins two months ago attacking him on WWE Raw. Since then, these two started a personal rivalry. We have seen several matches among them in the past. But every time, they come up with something new whenever renewing things. This time there was no different, either.
The Lunatic Fringe has been verbally and physically dominating the Architect ever since turning heel. He is been on a mission to establish himself as a psychotic villain on the WWE Raw roster. This is why he needed to win the Intercontinental Championship at WWE TLC to get his strong position back. He was the favorite to win the match at WWE TLC and the outcome was no different.
Dean Ambrose started playing mind games right before the match began at WWE TLC. He was juggling all over the ring as Seth Rollins stood tall. His frustrations forced to start the match in a quick pace. Some big right hands kept Dean Ambrose down in the early going. The Lunatic Fringe tried to attack the mid-section of his opponent but received a springboard lariat instead.
The fight continued at the ringside area where Ambrose finally pulled off some offenses. He hit the face of Seth Rollins on the commentary table on numerous occasions. Ambrose followed up with swinging neckbreaker but did not get the count. He tried to injure the leg of his former Shield brethren targeting it. The Clobber Leaf submission was in for sometimes, thereafter.

Seth Rollins managed to escape the hold and go for a frog splash. But Dean Ambrose pulled his knees up to counter. Despite that, The Architect stayed alive in this WWE TLC contest hitting a superplex. A falcon arrow followed this move but was not enough to earn the victory for the champion.
Dean Ambrose begged Rollins for not to hurt him anymore. He extended for a fist-bump to pose like Shield members. Seth Rollins replied with a punch to the face. The fight continued at the ringside where Rollins gave a powerbomb on Ambrose onto the barricade. He threw Dean Ambrose into the ring to get into the Dirty Deeds, all of a sudden! Rollins digested the pinfall to drop the Intercontinental Championship to his former buddy at WWE TLC.
