WWE confirms Brock Lesnar’s next fight date

Apparently, Brock Lesnar has informed UFC President Dana White that he is not coming back to the company after finalizing that he is heading to retirement. White then passed over the breaking news to UFC president told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani and Brett Okamoto. The sources broke the news to the world indicating that UFC will have to go to a different direction for the heavyweight championship planning.

“[Lesnar] told me he’s done, he’s retired,” Dana White told ESPN. “We’re going to move in another direction with Cormier.” Now that Brock Lesnar is out of the equation, the next heavyweight title match is quite obvious. Daniel Cormier will defend it against Stipe Miocic which is a repeated matchup but currently, UFC does not have any alternative option, for now.

Even Miocic is getting ready for the upcoming fight which is eventually getting to be his redemption chance against Cormier. Previously the current UFC World Heavyweight Champion defeated Miocic to become a dual-champion at UFC 226. But this time around Miocic sounded ready as stated to ESPN,

“I’m ready, I’ve been ready. And I’m going to take back what’s mine.”

As for Brock Lesnar, he will full be focussed on pro-wrestling competitions for the rest of his career. WWE has already declared that he is coming back to in-ring competition in Saudi Arabia. The show will emanate from the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday, June 7, at 8 p.m. AST. Alongside him, the likes of Undertaker and Goldberg will also likely to feature in separate matches.

This is the first time since April 7th that Brock Lesnar will be competing in a match. He hasn’t been seen in a WWE ring since losing the Universal Championship to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35. There were rumors that he might be heading back to the UFC. But after the MMA retirement news broke out, we are not seeing him back in the Octagon, ever.
