One of the significant moments in WWE happened, five years ago, today when the company officially started Women’s Evolution. It actually began with the term Women’s Revolution but later they trimmed the r and kept it as Evolution. Later, they also celebrated this by hosting a separate all-female PPV event, as well.
The celebration continues as WWE announced this week dedicated to the female superstars of their roster, as reported earlier.

WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon took to Twitter and looked back at the beginning of the Women’s Evolution. For those who don’t remember, WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon brought Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Sasha Banks to the main roster, mentioning it as a “revolution” for the women’s division.

A few months back that this moment happened, WWE Universe started a trend of ‘Give Divas A Chance’ on social media. McMahon listened to their pledge and significantly increased their screen presence as the Women’s Evolution took over the company. Moving forward, they even featured in the main event of Wrestlemania.
Charlotte Flair who can be considered as the flag-bearer of this Women’s Evolution also remembered this iconic moment that marked 5 years of her main roster career. Since debuting on the July episode, five years ago, Flair has gone on to become the most dominant superstar of her generation.

She held the RAW Women’s Title four times, the SmackDown Women’s Title five times, and the Divas Title once. She also won the 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match earlier this year. The Queen has also captured the NXT Women’s Title for a second time, earlier this year. Taking her social media account, Flair wished a Happy 5th Women’s Revolution Anniversary to the WWE Universe,
“Happy 5 Year Anniversary @wwe and @WWEUniverse! This means more to me than I can put into words. I am 1000000% in my feels and will be posting pictures all day. If you have an issue with that, I would suggest the ‘unfollow’ or ‘mute’ buttons. Thank you, all of you, so much [Red heart emoji],” she said.

Charlotte Flair has also tweeted various photos from the past five years as the Women’s Evolution continued. She tagged various superstars in those like RAW Women’s Champion Asuka and Natalya using the “#FourHorsewomen5Years” hashtag. For now, she has been out of action since losing a title match to Asuka on the June 22 RAW episode due to elective surgery.
