The rumours of Sami Zayn suffering from a shoulder injury turned out to be true. As much as we hate to say but he will be out of action for a long time-span. The current updates are suggesting that the pre-informed shoulder injury will not allow him to compete in the WWE for the rest of 2018 which would be eventually a big blow. He can make a comeback only when doctors would allow him to do so, next year.
There are some critics of pro-wrestling who always claims WWE is fake due to its scripted manner. But the moves that the superstars pull off every single night is more than real. They are professionally trained athlete who performs incredible stunts – to entertain us on a daily basis. Putting the body on the line is a routine activity for them.
This is the reason why guys like Zayn pick up serious injuries. He is suffering from a shoulder concussion that needed him to undergo a surgery. It is one of those serious kinds of injuries that take more than five or six months to recover.
Hence. there’s no chance to see him in any of the events of this ongoing year.
Previously, superstars like Finn Balor or Jeff Hardy suffered this kind of shoulder surgery. It kept them off for almost seven to eight months.
The situation was worse for Balor as he has barely found a suitable place on the roster till date. We can predict the same in the case of Zayn too.
‘The Underdog from the Underground’ has not been able to cement his place on WWE Raw as a top star. This significant absence from the show for a long time might not help him either.,” WWE confirmed the serious injury of Zayn with an official post on their website.
The Canadian Superstar hinted one of his shoulders ruptured during the Montreal Live Event. He has been working with the concussion ever since then.
Later it turned out to be a torn rotator cuff which is the worst a superstar can expect.
Sami Zayn hopeful to return fit than ever following the surgery. Also, we hope his rehab sessions go well in due course.
Here are the post-operations comments from the superstar himself, (courtesy WWE.com).
“It turns out I have two torn rotator cuffs. The left one and the right one are both torn. I just underwent surgery on the right one, and then in about six or seven weeks, I’ll be undergoing surgery on the left one, and hopefully I can come back healthy and happy.”
