Over on this week’s AEW Dynamite, the AEW TBS Championship was officially introduced which will serve as a secondary title in the women’s division. This comes as one of the moves to celebrate Dynamite’s move from TNT to TBS TV on January 5 of next year.
Tony Schiavone was the one to bring the title on AEW Dynamite TV who also announced that a tournament will take place to determine the inaugural champion. Later on, in the show, Thunder Rosa, Skye Blue, Ruby Soho, and Jade Cargill talked about the introduction of the title as they intended to participate. No official word was out regarding when the tournament will begin. At present, Dr. Britt Baker is the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion.
On this week’s AEW Dynamite, former WWE NXT star Bobby Fish wrestled in his AEW debut match on the show, losing to AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara via pinfall for the title. Fish suffered the loss via Guevara’s finisher, GTH. AEW officially welcomed Bobby Fish to the company by posting a tweet after their weekly programming finished up.

“Sammy, I gotta hand it to you, man, you pulled this one out,” Fish delivered a message to Sammy after AEW Dynamite. “You are tough. I take nothing away from you, but this — I’ve been doing it way too long. I understand it’s a game of inches. I was this close, more than once, out there tonight. This close, Sammy, so it’s just a matter of time before I take that TNT Championship. Your days are numbered, rest assured.”
Former champion returned on AEW Dynamite
In more news from AEW Dynamite, former AEW World Champion Hangman Page was revealed to be the “joker” in the Casino Ladder Match who made his return on AEW TV. He was last seen in competition in late July’s Fight for the Fallen PPV.
The ladder match on AEW Dynamite also featured Jon Moxley, PAC, Andrade El Idolo, Lance Archer, Orange Cassidy, and Matt Hardy. Page won the match after throwing Moxley off the ladder and thus he earned himself a future shot at the AEW World Championship held by Kenny Omega. No update was provided on when the title match will take place.
