ToggleSaraya blazed the trail for many in her professional wrestling career with the WWE by the name of Paige. Coming to the United States as a teenager, she came a long way and became a pioneer champion in the company who had the capacity of carrying the load for multiple years to follow. However, a well-documented injury forced her to call it quits on her career in the squared circle.
The colorful pro wrestling career of Saraya eventually ended up becoming a movie produced by The Rock, which was called ‘Fighting With My Family.’ Coming from a wrestling family in the United Kingdom she always had the love and fighting spirit reserved to make a comeback which eventually happened in AEW. It happened in the 2022 Grand Slam Dynamite episode last September.

No specific reason given behind Saraya’s absence from AEW TV
This was Saraya’s last appearance on AEW TV and According to the reports of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, she “isn’t around right now” due to undisclosed reasons. It’s unclear how long this current absence will continue, but given the circumstances, she will likely be back on AEW programming after a short break in time for a bigger summer pay-per-view event.
Forbidden Door 2023: Big match featuring two ex-WWE Superstars canceled at PPV
All Elite Wrestling will host All In at Wembley Stadium later this summer from the United Kingdom and being a resident of the UK, she is expected to be a part of the show. It was recently reported that there had been talks in AEW about the veteran female star possibly could have faced Mercedes Moné at the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
However, that match was scrapped after Moné suffered an injury last month at NJPW Resurgence and went out of action. It’s possible that the angle planned for Saraya heading into Forbidden Door was canceled and lack of creative plans is the reason behind the absence. The former Paige previously expressed her wish to face Moné at the All In event in September but that’ll only be possible if the latter gets medically cleared to compete.
