Orange Cassidy went through a successful title defense with the All-Atlantic Championship, last week on AEW Rampage. It happened in a dream match against NJPW star Katsuyori Shibata after the Japanese Superstar was handpicked by the AEW mid-card champion.

As announced by himself, Cassidy will put his title on the line this Friday on AEW Rampage, as well. As announced during Dynamite, last night Orange Cassidy will defend his All-Atlantic Championship against Lee Johnson during this Friday night show.

In the main event of the October 12 episode of AEW Dynamite, Cassidy’s victory over Pac in their third in-ring encounter marked his first championship win in AEW. After the match, Cassidy was joined in the ring by Best Friends – Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor for a championship celebration.

Cassidy became the second All-Atlantic Champion, marking the end of PAC’s inaugural 108-day title reign that started through a four-way match at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in June. The current champion promises to be a strong babyface champion as he is regularly putting up title defenses including this week’s Rampage.
