In an unexpected move seen from a global event in professional wrestling, Toni Storm appeared on last night’s NJPW Resurgence 2023 pay-per-view event, trying to help her husband win his scheduled match. While her attempt was successful, another unthinkable happened during the appearance as she was unexpectedly and forcefully kissed.

AEW wrestler and The Outcasts member Toni Storm came out at NJPW Resurgence when her husband Juice Robinson was competing in a Street Fight Match against Fred Rosser (ex-WWE Superstar Darren Young). Juice was cornered at one point when his wife came out to help him.

Coming from behind, Toni Storm attempted to deliver a low blow on Rosser, but she failed as Rosser was wearing a protective cap. He was further slapped and hence got irate. After a few seconds, Rosser forcefully grabbed the former WWE Superstar and kissed her on the lips for some time.

Rosser further went to hit his finisher on her but the distraction allowed Robinson to finally connect with an effective low blow. Toni Storm then drove Rosser into the canvas with an inverted piledriver. She later smashed a bottle over his head followed by a hip attack. Robinson eventually won the match after he sent Rosser face-first into a steel chair. The night ended with the real-life couple celebrating in the ring.

Toni Storm has a title shot set for AEW Double or Nothing 2023

This was the first appearance of Toni Storm in NJPW after a long time. As of this writing, she is set to face AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter this Sunday, May 28 at the AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view.

The challenge of the title match was first laid out by the challenger on the May 17 episode of AEW Dynamite. This came after Toni Storm and her Outcasts’ partner Ruby Soho defeated Dr. Britt Baker DMD & Hikaru Shida in a tag team action after which Storm cut a backstage promo and celebrated winning 4 matches in five days. She would ultimately end up challenging the champion to a title match to set up the title match.

Jamie Hayter originally won the AEW Women’s Championship at the Full Gear pay-per-view in November 2022. On that night, she defeated Toni Storm to win the belt, and hence at Double or Nothing, it will be a rematch between the two.
