Batista transitioned to a movie star following his pro-wrestling career in the WWE. He’s admittedly retired after losing to Triple H at WrestleMania 35 in a No Holds Barred. He will eventually be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, at some point that will be the ultimate honor for him. With wrestling no more on the radar, he’s fully looking forward to strengthening his foothold in Hollywood.

Army Of The Dead: Lost Vegas is also in the pipeline which is a prequel to Army of the Dead. There’s no confirmed update on when this movie will be released, but Batista and his fellow actors will provide voiceovers for this action-horror anime series. Joe Manganiello, Christian Slater, and Vanessa Hudgens have also been roped in for the project.
Dune is slated for an October 1st, 2021 release which is already delayed in production due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The reboot of the classic sci-fi novel will have Batista playing the role of Glossu Beast Rabban, one of the bad guys in the film.
Groove Tails is an animated movie that will tell the story of a mouse named Biggz, played by Jamie Foxx. Batista will lend his voice for multiple roles throughout the movie. A release date hasn’t been announced as the filming process is still in progress.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 is a long-awaited third installment of the Marvel franchise which is also being filmed. James Gunn is back in the director’s chair and the expectation is that the film will be out in 2023. There are no updates on the storyline but fans are excited with the news that the movie is happening, after all.

Batista joins Thor franchise’s next installment
Thor: Love And Thunder, is also being filmed where the protagonist was spotted with the Guardians of the Galaxy crew. So the expectation is that interesting storytelling could follow after Avengers: Endgame. A May 6, 2022 release date is expected for this one.
Universe’s Most Wanted hasn’t been assigned any released date but it promises to be another interesting project. It’s a space-comedy where Batista plays the role of an intergalactic peacekeeper who is supposed to keep criminals from taking over the planet. Filming for this project will begin in Melbourne, Australia in late July.
In The Lost Lands will be based on R. R. Martin’s novel under the same name where Batista is set to star alongside Milla Jovovich. This film is only in pre-production which will take some time to get finished.
Finally, Traphouse is also the pipeline that will be written by Fast & Furious creator Gary Scott Thompson in which Batista will be seen as an actor and producer. The movie revolves around DEA agents who have to stop their own teenage children from robbing a cartel. Despite being planned for multiple years, this project is still stuck in development.
