Becky Lynch surprised the pro-wrestling fanatics as well as the Mixed Martial Arts lovers by appearing in a video trailer for UFC. She was present in the footage to narrate the upcoming UFC 264 fight featuring Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier III on July 10. This is the first time that a WWE Superstar took part in an active UFC content.
We have previously seen crossovers between UFC and WWE as names from both the promotions appeared for shows hosted by the others. But this one was pretty different as active WWE Superstar was on a promotion spree for a UFC Superstar.
“Some are born to take the middle path — the safe stretch of road,” Becky Lynch said in the video. “But us warriors are born with something in us. The light and the dark. The fire and the ice. The good and the bad takes us down a different path. A path to glory that threatens to destroy us. For each battle is not fought on the canvas, but in the arena of the mind where there’s a fine line between genius and madness.”
“Loved for the enemies slain. Loathed for the destruction left behind. For the most notorious, it’s not where the journey takes them, but when the journey ends. So, go forth, brother, and let the battle begin.”
Becky Lynch and Conor McGregor associated in the past
This is obviously not the first time that Becky Lynch and Conor McGregor have been seen associating. Belonging from the same country, these two have previously supported each other through chats on social media. Earlier this year, Lynch was also seen promoting one of McGregor’s charity shirts with baby Roux in her hands.
McGregor defeated Poirier via TKO (punches) at UFC 178 in 2014. He lost to his rival via TKO (punches) at UFC 257 back in January. UFC 264 is scheduled at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada in late July. There’re beliefs that at some point, down the road, McGregor may just want to join the WWE for a brief stint.
As for Becky Lynch, she was seen backstage at last month’s WWE Hell in a Cell PPV, as well as the WWE PC try-out to get ready for her return. Earlier this week, she and Seth Rollins were also officially married in a private ceremony. The two got engaged in early 2019 and their chemistry was also spotted inside the ring for a few occasions.
Afterward, Becky Lynch got pregnant with their first baby to go into a hiatus from the WWE. It’s been six months since the delivery as we can assume that a return for the former Raw Women’s Champion is imminent. She is also in a jacked shape eyeing for the top spot on the women’s division.
