There’s no rest for Becky Lynch as her strong maiden title run with the NXT Women’s Championship continues. Being one of the toughest names present in the game, she is not only appearing on both Raw and NXT shows but she also has been defending the belts on both the shows against emerging talents. One such title defense went down during the latest episode of Raw.
In the first hour of WWE Raw, Becky Lynch defeated Indi Hartwell to retain the NXT Women’s Championship. After Hartwell threw a decent challenge, the champion made her tap out via the Dis-Arm-Her submission move. It was the first-ever match between these two competitors in a singles match capacity but the duo did participate together in the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble Match.

Becky Lynch possesses a series of title defenses in her title reign
Becky Lynch has been the NXT Women’s Champion since the September 12 episode of WWE NXT when she defeated Tiffany Stratton. Since then, she has defended the belt against numerous opponents on NXT as well as on the main roster.
Fresh off her victory against Tiffany Stratton at NXT No Mercy in an Extreme Rules Match, Becky Lynch was scheduled to put the NXT Women’s Title on the line against Nox on the October 2 episode of Raw. But after going through a hellacious experience at the NXT PLE filled with weapons and top spots, she picked up a slight injury that halted momentums for THE MAN.
Then on the October 9 episode of Raw, Nox finally got a challenge for the NXT Women’s Title and came up short. Then Indi Hartwell got into the line to capture a shot to the title by confronting the champion who agreed to have the match on this week’s Raw despite Hartwell coming up short in a number-one contender’s match on NXT.

Lyra Valkyria set for a title match at Halloween Havoc
Speaking of that contender’s match, Lyra Valkyria defeated Hartwell and Roxanne Perez on the October 3 episode of NXT in a Triple Threat to earn the right to a title shot. Valkyria was present on Raw in the crowd on Monday night and Becky Lynch took the time to share a staredown with her next challenger after her win against Hartwell.
That being said, another big title defense will be waiting for Becky Lynch on tonight’s episode of NXT when she goes up against her fellow Irishwoman. This scheduled title match is likely to be the main event of this week’s NXT episode which will also be the first night of the 2023 edition of Halloween Havoc.
