It’s disheartening for the WWE Universe not to have Big E around them. The fun-loving guy always brings along loads of fun and positivity with him which is unique. An injury sidelined him and thus The New Day trio is also incomplete, at this point.
Big E had to wait a long time to reach the top of his career. He crossed a lot of hurdles over the years during his time in WWE before becoming the Money in the Bank winner in 2021. This helped him to become the WWE Champion, last year as well but good times for him did not last long. First, he lost the belt on the very first day of 2022 and this was followed by a devastating neck injury.

Recently, Big E also shared some unfortunate news regarding his recovery. He took to Twitter, recently to provide an update on his recovery from the broken neck.
The former WWE Champion revealed his recovery could take a longer healing time than expected since his C1 isn’t “healing optimally.” He will need to spend another 4-6 weeks in a neck brace to avoid a neck fusion surgery,
“For those desirous of an update, my C1 apparently isn’t healing optimally. I’ll spend another 4-6 weeks in a brace in hopes that I can avoid a fusion. But don’t you fret! I’ve got a tremendous support system & what shall be shall be.”

Big E didn’t require surgery after breaking his neck
Big E shocked his fans after he was dumped on his head by Ridge Holland via a belly-to-belly suplex during a tag team match. He suffered a broken neck due to the bump and at one point, there were speculations of his wrestling career being over.
Following that neck injury that happened on the March 11 episode of SmackDown, Big E confirmed that he didn’t suffer any spinal cord or ligament damage, and therefore it would not require surgery to get healed.
He also explained that his C1 and C6 vertebrae were fractured. At that point, he was expected to heal completely within 8-12 weeks, the regular recovery time for a fractured neck. His doctor also informed him that he “narrowly escaped a stroke, paralysis or death.”
