Former Women’s Tag Team Champions Billie Kay and Peyton Royce are no more with the WWE as they were released by the company amid COVID-19 budget cuts of the WWE. This came as a shocker as the two were extremely loyal to the company while they were also touted to be bright talents for the future. The duo known as the IIconics were left heartbroken by the move of the WWE.

Now the duo is dubbing themselves as The IInspiration under the separate names of Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay. After getting released by the WWE, they have had some issues with their green card but those problems have been sorted out. Now they are back in wrestling via the latest signing with the Impact Wrestling promotion.

There have been speculations about Billie Kay and Peyton Royce potentially arriving in AEW or Impact. That speculation has now come to an end as a video played at the end of the recent IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Knockdown event that aired on Saturday, confirming that The IInspiration would be debuting at the promotion’s next pay-per-view event, Bound For Glory.

Following that vignette’s airing, Royce has already made a statement on Twitter and Instagram. Now, Billie Kay has left a short message with a set of recent stunning photos. The caption stated the following, “Ready to make an IMPACT [black heart][fire] emojis.” Her pro-wrestling colleagues like Kayla Braxton, Peyton Royce, and Deonna Purrazzo reacted to the post by dropping some fire emojis, as well.

Speaking on their Off Her Chops Podcast, Billie Kay offered some advice to indie wrestlers who aspire to go to WWE but they may not have the opportunities after WWE President Nick Khan revealed that the company is no longer looking to sign wrestlers from the independent circuit. Here are the words made by Kay,

“There are so many companies all over the world that are fruitful. There are so many other companies where they’re flourishing, the industry in general. I feel like industry — just because there’s one door that’s shut, there are a million others that you can walk through.” (quotes courtesy Fightful)
