As seen at WWE Crown Jewel 2019 pay-per-view in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar forced Cain Velasquez to tap out to the Kimura Lock. This is how he retained the WWE Championship in a match that lasted for only 2 minutes and 10 seconds. His wrath continued even after the match was over as he denied to let Cain go off the vicious submission move.

Why Brock vs. Cain was short?

After the match, Brock Lesnar decided to further assault Cain Velasquez with a Steel Chair. He even launched Cain on it with an F-5. Rey Mysterio then had to interfere in the scene despite being hurt.

He used some of his own chair shots on Lesnar’s back after which The Beast decided to retreat. Apparently, this segment hinted at bigger things to be in-store in the upcoming weeks.

If the recent reports are to go by then this two-way beatdown segment will lead Brock Lesnar to his next championship defense in a potential cross-brand match.

As noted on wwfoldschool.com, the word is going on that the happening from Crown Jewel is going to lead to Brock Lesnar vs. Rey Mysterio for the WWE Championship in a ‘Chairs Match’ at TLC 2019 pay-per-view event.

We should note that TLC 2019 will take place in the hometown of Brock Lesnar at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 15th. This is the reason why the biggest box office attraction of WWE might end up performing on the show. If WWE does book this match, then it’ll create an interesting scenario since Rey Mysterio is on RAW and Brock Lesnar is on SmackDown.

Earlier speculations suggested that WWE would soon go back to Wild Card Rule even after the Draft took place just a few weeks ago. With Survivor Series on the horizon, this has to be the case as it is the event featuring two brands going into wars.

Raw and SmackDown go head to head in this particular show with respective champions going up against each other. So there’s also a chance that Brock Lesnar vs. Rey Mysterio might also take place at Survivor Series, too.
