AEW promotion has officially announced that CM Punk has become an All Elite following his big debut on their programming. This week’s opener of AEW Rampage episode was kicked off from the United Center in Chicago with this big return to pro wrestling. Several fans were seen crying in the crowd as the returning star greeted some of them at ringside, including some of his family and friends.

CM Punk declared that he is back and will make more appearances on AEW programming. He also said he looks forward to working with some of the younger talents in AEW. Throwing praise at Darby Allin, who was watching from the rafters with Sting, he confirmed seeing Allin and everyone else at the All Out pay-per-view event on September 5.

CM Punk: More Updates On Former WWE Superstar's AEW Signing; Next Appearance Announced 1

CM Punk vs. Darby Allin will take place on that night. It appears that the former WWE Champion is back onboard in professional wrestling by signing a contract with the AEW. Regarding the contract signing, Fightful Select reiterated that the superstar had been in talks for a multi-year deal with AEW. It wasn’t confirmed whether the deal was finalized or not while AEW President Tony Khan mentioned the deal will be full-time, indeed.

ShopAEW.com has released the commemorative “I Was There!” t-shirt regarding CM Punk’s return at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Punk also has merchandise put on sale on Pro Wrestling Tees. AEW has also announced that the latest recruit will make his Dynamite debut this Wednesday night at the UWM Panther Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

It was last month that news broke out of CM Punk negotiating for an in-ring return, pointing an in-ring return towards arrival at AEW being his likely destination, a rumor that appeared to be true. Punk’s last appearance on TV occurred at Royal Rumble 2014 but in his promo, during AEW debut he denied having any association with the WWE, ever.
