First business venture

As stated earlier, Brooks always wanted to be someone different from the rest of the world. Most of the other wrestling aspirants would try to focus on training sessions. After that independent circuit would be the next stop for them. Instead of doing so, CM Punk started his own wrestling company as a teenager.

He named the venture as Lunatic Wrestling Federation that started in the backyard of his house. Wrestlers around Chicago used to gather here in the weekends. The popularity of this promotion gradually increased. So LWF began to book halls occasionally and use proper wrestling environment.

Usually, 200 to 300 people showed up for the LWF shows. It grew to almost 1000 that meant quite significant. In a bizarre turn of events, Brook’s brother backstabbed him. He ran away with money creating a major fallout.
