Drew McIntyre has been established as one of the top Superstars in WWE over the past couple of years. These days, the company has literally stopped building superstars and the UK native is one of those very few handful names who went to become a Wrestlemania main-eventer from being an NXT Champion. He does have a lot of passion for the pro wrestling business which helped him in capturing that spot for a long time.
For two consecutive Wrestlemanias, Drew McIntyre has featured in WWE Championship matches. He is a former two-time WWE Champion and was the face of the company during the toughest pandemic era but in recent times, there have been some negative feedbacks around his usage on the WWE programming. His match for the Show of Shows has been announced and his fanbase isn’t happy about it.

Drew McIntyre has competed against Madcap Moss in a singles match at WWE Elimination Chamber on February 19th to pick up a win. Then it was recently confirmed by WWE on social media that he will square off against Happy Corbin at WrestleMania 38.
Drew McIntyre addressed fan backlash about Wrestlemania 38 announcement
Since that announcement, WWE Universe was irate about the fact that The Scottish Warrior deserves a much better opponent than someone like Happy Corbin. The former champion took to Twitter and responded to the fan backlash via a video. Per his comments, he believes that his time will eventually come, again.
“Oh, WrestleMania Saturday, it’s just McIntyre vs. Corbin, that’s right,” Drew McIntyre stated.
“I just read about it on the internet like everybody else, about 10 minutes ago, but that’s OK, that’s the match I wanted. I thought I was going to have to, you know, jump through some hoops, play some games, cut some deals under the table, pass some money to some people, but the match is official. That means Corbin is going to be worrying about this match from now until ‘Mania.”

I’ve seen your responses and I appreciate the support. I’m in this industry to win titles and be in marquee fights, my time will come again.
Corbin is a hell of a competitor, however he’s proved to be about as smart as he is funny picking a fight with me. #WrestleMania pic.twitter.com/uPvlcMamr2

The current position for Drew McIntyre on the roster could be elevated, going by the recent updates. According to the reports of Wrestling Observer, Roman Reigns is scheduled to feud with the top Smackdown babyface name after WrestleMania 38. This feud was supposed to take place on the road to WrestleMania 38. But the top babyface vs. top heel program will continue through the post-WrestleMania season.
