It will be clobbering time for Drew McIntyre just a few hours from now as he prepares to battle the top-most superstar of the WWE but in a tag team bout. The potential main event bout of Wrestlemania Backlash will see him teaming with Team RK-Bro against Usos and Roman Reigns in a six-man tag team match.

The final hype up for the battle took place on this week’s Smackdown where Drew McIntyre and his tag partners sent Reigns and The Usos for a retreat. But given that Reigns hasn’t lost via pinfall or submission since December 2019, his team is still the favorite to pick up a win. The Usos can digest the loss but one of their opponents is very confident about taking out Reigns, instead.

Ahead of the colossal clash at Wrestlemania Backlash, Drew McIntyre spoke to Bill Apter and Brad Gilmore and admitted that Roman Reigns really is a needle mover in WWE (a claim that has been touted by the Head of the Table for quite sometimes, now).

However, the Scottish Warrior also mentioned how he’s intending to take the dual champion’s head off and take him to the Claymore Country when it’s all said and done.

“I mean, I acknowledge that my foot’s gonna connect with his face. I acknowledge that what he says has a lot of truth, that’s the cool thing about the character…,” Drew McIntyre stated.

“Everything he says is based in truth, he is genuinely a needle mover, he is genuinely a huge attraction and he stays within that character. He’s not getting my acknowledgement except he tells the truth. But I’m going to tell the truth too, I’m gonna be the one to take him down.” (quotes courtesy Ringside News)

As Drew McIntyre prepares to team up with Team RK-Bro and face off against The Bloodline at WrestleMania Backlash, this Sunday, speculations are there about getting a singles contest against Reigns, down the line. WWE is reportedly holding that match off for a bigger occasion like Summerslam or Clash at the Castle, later this year. We might get a hint of things in the pipeline at Backlash.
