In the main event of Elimination Chamber 2023, the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship was on the line as Roman Reigns defended the title against the hometown hero Sami Zayn. All sorts of drama and chaotic instances went down during the match, making it one of the best encounters in recent memory. But in the end, it’s the Tribal Chief who still walked out of a show with the titles intact on his shoulder.
Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman made their way out into the ring amid loud boos from the Montreal crowd. Sami Zayn then came out with his old theme song to a thunderous reaction from the Elimination Chamber 2023 audience.

Roman vs Sami started on a quick note
In a wild sequence, Roman went for the Spear, but missed and went face-first into the turnbuckle. Sami hit an Exploder Suplex in the corner, a Superman Punch, followed by the Helluva Kick but Roman kicked out at 2.5.
Reigns missed a Spear and went through the barricade as Sami hit a Blue Thunder Bomb but Reigns kicked out. The referee accidentally got knocked out. Sami nailed another Helluva Kick but there was nobody to make the count for him so that he could possibly make history at Elimination Chamber 2023.

Multiple interferences at Elimination Chamber 2023 main event
Jimmy Uso showed up, superkick-ed Sami 3 times, delivered a Frog Splash, and put Roman on top of Sami. Another referee came out to make the count, but Sami kicked out. Sami took out Jimmy with a Helluva Kick on the ring apron but he got speared by Roman.
Jey Uso then appeared at Elimination Chamber 2023 and Roman instructed him to hit Sami with a Steel Chair. Jey took his time allowing Sami to hit back Reigns. He went for a Spear but Roman dragged Jey into it to get taken out.

Kevin Owens returned at Chamber PLE
The distraction allowed Roman to hit Sami with Steel Chair shots before pinning him with a Spear. After the match, Roman instructed Jimmy for more beatdowns on Sami but Kevin Owens made the save.

Owens hit both Roman and Jimmy with Stunners before powerbomb-ing Jimmy through the announce table. Heyman was also taken out with a Stunner. The final sequence saw Sami hitting Roman Reigns with a Helluva Kick. He soaked in the atmosphere by standing in the middle of the ring to send Elimination Chamber 2023 off the air.
