The possible final match for Extreme Rules 2022 has been announced heading into this week’s episode of Smackdown. Much to the delight of the old-school fans, two resident factions from the blue brand will be engaged in an out-and-out brawl in the upcoming premium live event.
WWE had announced that The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland, and Butch) will take on Imperium (Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci) in a Six-Man Tag Team Donnybrook Match at Extreme Rules.

There has been only one Donnybrook Match, prior to this in WWE history where Drew McIntyre defeated Sheamus back in July to earn a shot at the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Clash at the Castle.
In the preview of the upcoming Donnybrook Match, WWE described the match as “an absolute free-for-all brawl with numerous weapons at every turn that guarantees a display of all-out mayhem,” indicating that it will be an old-fashioned no-holds-barred, no-disqualification bout at Extreme Rules 2022.

The Brawling Brutes and Imperium have been feuding with one other since before WWE’s Clash at the Castle event and it’s been a popular one due to both the teams having a volatile and absolute physical mentality.
Sheamus unsuccessfully challenged GUNTHER for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Clash at the Castle and furthermore, he will also challenge GUNTHER in a rematch for the title at the Season Premier of Smackdown on October 7, next week. Thereafter, the upcoming six-man tag match might conclude the feud for good.
