Ever since coming back to the WWE back in 2016, Goldberg is being used by the company on special occasions. Bigger events like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, or the Saudi Arabia events generally have him on the card in some marquee matches. He still is one of the biggest draws of the show that he’d be performing in.
The bad news for his fans is that he might be over with wrestling stint, forever. WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg was recently interviewed by American Monster Productions, where he weighed on wrestling related topics. He also talked about performing in the WWE even in his 50s which isn’t a genuine option for any wrestler.

Goldberg Claims He’s ‘Done’ With Wrestling
While speaking about the experience, Goldberg mentioned how ridiculous the entire process has been while preparing for a match at his age of 53. But then again, he’s proud of what he’d done in this age as there’s not many who claim of doing so. He also mentioned being done from in-ring competition, at this point.
“I used to talk about Ric Flair being over 40 and how goofy he was wrestling. Now I’m 53 right now and I just got done, that’s ridiculous. The fact is, the way I look at it now, there is me then and there is me now, and show me another 53-year-old dude who can do it.
Give me a month, the guys only give me three weeks every time anyway, give me an extra week, give me a month, I’ll show you what I can look like. Not many people can do that at 53 years old with a lot of things contributing to it, mainly injuries, especially what I’ve been through,” stated Goldberg.
Goldberg Speaks Why Roman Reigns Backed Out Of WWE Wrestlemania 36
As mentioned above, WWE often feels that Goldberg could be the marketable name for a future pay-per-view event and they dial up his number. Being a committed person, The Myth always gets ready to give his best in that bout. Considering that his in-ring agility isn’t the same, anymore, it seems that the company might not need him, anymore, though.
Goldberg resurfaced on WWE programming, earlier this year, prior to WrestleMania 36. He defeated The Fiend Bray Wyatt to win the Universal Championship at WWE Super Showdown PPV in February and then set up a bout against Roman Reigns that never happened. Rather, he dropped the belt at WrestleMania to Braun Strowman that might always remain the last match of his WWE career.
