As always, WWE announced a loaded Hall of Fame inductees for the class of 2020. The star-studded program was set for the WrestleMania 36 weekend to honor their professional wrestling careers. But then the COVID-19 hit the planet and all those programs were swept along. WWE couldn’t pull off the show in the entire year without any conventional audience present on their shows.

The 2020 Hall of Fame ceremony was nixed out and rescheduling was done leaving us wondering what the plan could be for 2021. According to the reports of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plan is to run the canceled show in 2021. There’s no update on if the 2021 ceremony will include any new names or they will have those 2020 inductees appear instead.

WWE Hall Of Fame 2021 – Rumor Killer On The Undertaker’s Induction

WON noted that the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame should be a virtual ceremony, similar to that how WWE conducted the Slammy Awards. That seems to be the current plan over the WrestleMania 37 weekend in April. The doubts continue over so many fans wondering whether WWE will be allowed to fill a venue with physical fans in attendance.

So it looks like we will be seeing the virtual inductions of the announced superstars into the Hall of Fame. It will make things easier for stars’ traveling to the event with lesser precautions as a result of minimum attendance. But it also means that The Undertaker’s to the prestigious club is probably not happening in 2021.

According to Wrestling News, Vince McMahon wants to have The Undertaker inducted into the Hall of Fame unless it happens in front of live fans. Since this year the show will be a virtual event, that eliminates the Deadman from being a first-ballot inductee.

Obviously, the greatest sports entertainer of all-time is very likely to receive an induction. But the fans will have to wait a little bit longer to see that happening.
