Jeff Hardy has been involved in a stretched feud with Sheamus over this past summer on SmackDown that culminated through a bar fight at Extreme Rules 2020. The feud that could have been over at Backlash, has been dragged to the next PPV, perhaps with the idea where he can pick up the big win and move forward in his future to face some more bright talents on the roster.

Once his feud with Sheamus was over, Jeff Hardy hoped that he can continue to have some main event caliber matches with several other wrestlers on SmackDown. During his recent appearance on WWE’s The Bump, the Charismatic Enigma listed out some of the names he would like to go toe-to-toe in the WWE before hanging up the boots for good.

The first on Jeff Hardy’s list is AJ Styles whom he previously faced during his TNA career. Back then, AJ was yet to become the Phenomenal One superstar that he is today. So the chemistry between the duo will be a lot different. Additionally, he’d also like to face Roman Reigns and The Fiend.

“It would be a dream of mine – the first time I went to another wrestling world, I wrestled this young up and coming star named AJ Styles. My match with him was my first match back, and I remember being so nervous because he was so good,” Jeff Hardy recalled. “We’re both the same age, but we’re the complete opposites.

“I’d also like to face Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt as well. If ‘The Fiend’ is around, I know there will be something special between me and him.”

Hardy has been able to fulfill that wish as he was inserted into an Intercontinental Title feud with Styles over the past few weeks. He eventually won that mid-card title for the fifth occasion in his career.

A few weeks ago, Jeff Hardy alongside the SmackDown roster paid homage to The Undertaker after the announcement came that he was officially retiring from the squared circle. Like many of the pro-wrestling stars, he also thanked The Phenome for building his career and the contributions to this industry. Hardy and The Bump panel discussed his match with “The Deadman” back in 2002 that set him up for a singles career, moving forward.

The interview concluded noting that Jeff Hardy himself became a veteran superstar in the WWE, today spending more than two decades, here. It amazes him thinking that he has become such an icon among the aspiring wrestlers, in and out of the WWE. He named that he’d been standing here today if it wasn’t for Michael Hayes and his brother Matt Hardy.

“I think back to Michael Hayes and I, when we went to the mall to look for some new apparel, we found these baggy pants and fishnet shirts at Hot Topic or something. I’ll never forget how we thought it was going to be so strange wearing those clothes. But now to look back and see what it became, it’s just an amazing thing.”

“I think about Matt a lot, and how we did this together. It’s so cool that we’re both in two separate wrestling worlds, and we’re doing so good. It’s amazing how lucky and blessed we have been.” (Quotes courtesy wrestlingINC.com)
