John Cena used to be the pillar of the WWE roster for over a decade. The flagship program of Monday Night Raw and main-events of pay-per-view programming used to revolve around him, mostly. He’s no more regular on the scene but that didn’t create many problems for the company. In the past few years, WWE learned how to move along without the broad shoulders of the Cenation Leader.

Speaking of which brings us to two different names from the current WWE roster who’s expected to carry the load for future years to come in the absence of John Cena. While Seth Rollins has been the cornerstone figure of the Raw brand, The Fiend Bray Wyatt is doing his part over on SmackDown. WWE has to depend a lot on them when it comes to keeping the ratings steady.

John Cena and Bray Wyatt share a lot of history together, and so is Seth Rollins who also has a lot of history with him. The 16-time WWE World Champion recently spoke to Sports Illustrated while noting on several pro-wrestling stuff. He did speak about these two superstars and had nothing but offer good things to say about them.

“Bray is obviously doing a great job. And Seth Rollins has done an unbelievable job of adapting to a crowdless environment.”

For those who don’t remember, John Cena and Bray Wyatt had a stretched rivalry back in 2014 that produced a WrestleMania match. Even at this year’s WrestleMania, they were part of the strange Firefly Funhouse match. Seth Rollins also featured in several pay-per-view matches against Cena, most notably at SummerSlam, five years ago.

The man with Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect also noted on WWE doing shows without fans, as of late. John Cena stated that it’s a situation that we didn’t experience in the past. So there’s a lot of confusion about which will work and which ones won’t. But at the end of the day, John Cena believes that WWE will ultimately thrive in this situation,

“I firmly believe that not only will it survive, it will thrive, but it has to, as an entirety, embrace this process. I believe they’re beginning to do that. The longer they go without an audience, they need to transform as an entirety what sports entertainment is. I think they’re in this weird sort of middle ground, where they don’t know when crowds will be let back in. If you truly commit to a paradigm shift, that may scare away the normalcy the viewers are used to seeing.”
