Liv Morgan was the 2022 Money In The Bank match winner who wasted the least time to cash in the title match contract. She cashed it in on Ronda Rousey on the same night to become the new Smackdown Women’s Champion. Thus, she finally achieved her dreams of becoming a Champion in the biggest professional wrestling promotion in the world.
At WWE Clash At The Castle, Liv Morgan defended her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Shayna Baszler. That was also the very first night where she successfully retained her title on TV via clean pin-fall in a match. Many would barely believe that she, on her own would be able to vanquish a former MMA star but with her strong will, she made it happen.
Roman Reigns May Not Wrestle For 2 Months In WWE Due To Limited Schedule
While speaking to Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Liv Morgan shed light on her huge win. She mentioned this to be the biggest of her career and without a doubt, it had left a positive impact on her.
With this win, she made it clear that nobody would ever doubt her capabilities following the UK Premium Live Event,
“Yeah, I feel like if anyone had any doubts before, then they definitely don’t have them now,” Morgan said. “[The feeling of being champion] has definitely settled. It’s definitely sinking in. It doesn’t feel like, ‘pinch me, pinch me, pinch me,’ anymore. This is mine.”
Liv Morgan broke into tears after Clash at the Castle win
In that same conversation, Liv Morgan was also asked why she cried after the title match against Shanya Blazer at Clash at the Castle. Obviously, her emotions got the best of her at that point. The intensity and atmosphere of the event were so surreal that they touched her emotionally and led to those tears.
After the controversial title defense at SummerSlam, initial crowd responses towards Liv Morgan were not very much favorable but things changed in a positive way, afterward. She’s recently been getting more of the WWE Universe on her side.
After her Clash at the Castle victory, that support should gradually be growing. We will have to wait and see what the former Riott Squad member will do next. But, one thing is clear she has gained more confidence in herself and it should help her in the long run.
