The former Riott Squad member became the new number-one contender to Lynch when she won a Fatal 5 Way over Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Queen Zelina Vega and Carmella on the November 8 RAW episode.

Liv Morgan also led her team (Belair, Ripley, Nikki A.S.H., and WWE 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke) to victory in a 10-woman tag team action against the team of Lynch, Carmella, Vega, Doudrop, and Tamina Snuka, last week. It was during the same episode that WWE Official Sonya Deville announced the title match after officiating a contract signing segment featuring the challenger and the champion.

It was during that similar contract signing segment that Liv Morgan and Lynch had a verbal exchange to set up their title match. During the segment, Morgan blamed Lynch’s “big, fat greedy contract” for her friends – fellow Riott Squad members Ruby Soho and Sarah Logan’s firing from the WWE, earlier this year.

Later, the controversial line was later removed by WWE’s YouTube channel although it was noted that Morgan wasn’t behind coming up with the line. Rather, it was the WWE creative team who used it to get some attention to the product.
