Several matches have been announced for next Tuesday’s WWE NXT which will also be the post-TakeOver 36 edition. A huge six-man tag team match will go down next week with Legado del Fantasma’s Santos Escobar, Raul Mendoza, and Joaquin Wilde taking on Hit Row’s Ashante “Thee” Adonis, “Top Dolla” AJ Francis, and NXT North American Champion Isaiah “Swerve” Scott.
The two teams have been involved in a feud for a few weeks. They also got involved in a backstage brawl during this week’s WWE NXT. This will be the first six-man match for Hit Row as a team while Legado del Fantasma will also perform as a team in a six-man action since they lost the Winners Take All match to NXT Tag Team Champions MSK and the former NXT American Champion Bronson Reed at “Takeover: In Your House” on June 13.
WWE NXT Results (17/07/21): Mixed Tag Team Action; Kross-Joe Face-Off
Timothy Thatcher vs. Ridge Holland will take place, next week. Holland recently returned from injuries three weeks ago. He was apparently brought back by Dunne and Oney Lorcan to help them defeat Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa. Holland then defeated Ikemen Jiro in his in-ring return two weeks ago who was then called out by Thatcher and Ciampa during a backstage segment on last week’s WWE NXT episode.
A backstage segment then aired on this week’s show where Holland said he doesn’t care how long Thatcher and Ciampa have been in the tag team, but he admitted having the balls to challenge him. Holland then said he’s going to make a name for himself as he will be taking care of Thatcher, next week as the match was finally made, official.
WWE NXT BreakOut Tournament 2021 Finale Match Set
The final match of the 2021 WWE NXT Breakout Tournament has also been officially announced for next week’s post-Takeover 36 episode. The lineup will feature Odyssey Jones vs. Carmelo Hayes with the stipulation that the winner of the tournament will earn a future NXT title shot of their selection.
This week, Hayes defeated Duke Hudson to advance and meet Jones in the finals. There was also a post-match face-off between Hayes and Jones to hype up the upcoming match. WWE Hall of Famers Shawn Michaels and Triple H took to Twitter about the final match lineup.
“Different styles, sizes, and attitude. One singular goal… Who will be the breakout? The finals of the #WWENXT #NXTBreakout Tournament happen NeXT week!!,” Triple H wrote while Shawn Michaels added the following,
“This #NXTBreakout Tournament was a great introduction to many new Superstars. I’m excited to see this FINAL match!!! @Carmelo_WWE @oshow94 #WWENXT”
In more news for the post-TakeOver 36 WWE NXT show, it will be taped on Monday, August 23. Below is the current line-up for next Tuesday’s episode to be aired on the USA Network on August 25.
