It was in 2016 summer that the pro-wrestling world got to experience something fresh in the form of the BROKEN gimmick of Matt Hardy.
It was a reinvented character of the veteran superstar who loves to talk gibberish yet meaningful things.
Matt Hardy’s wife denies that she slept with Jeff Hardy
His whole family was added to the storyline process making it really enjoyable for the fans. All of these happened during his stint in the Impact Wrestling company.
Jeff Hardy had a fight with his wife!
The following year, he joined WWE roster alongside his brother Jeff to tease that the lovable BROKEN character may just continue.
However, that could not happen, right away as Impact Wrestling had the ownership of the character. So Matt Hardy had to wait patiently to debut this character on TV.

Finally, it happened at the beginning of 2018 only to get vanquished within three months.
BROKEN Matt Hardy had one dream match against Bray Wyatt prior to Wrestlemania 34 before WWE did not intend to give a push to the character.
The main reason behind this was the disliking that Vince McMahon had over the popular character.
During a recent interview with Fightful, Matt Hardy talked about explaining his “BROKEN” gimmick to Vince McMahon,
“I don’t think he understands it completely. Part of it is based on different, various TV shows I watch, and it’s very Deadpool driven.
BROKEN Matt Hardy winks at the audience and kinda breaks the fourth wall and I don’t know that’s something Vince really enjoys or likes to do a lot or whatever unless maybe it’s this specific idea. I think it was very involved and I don’t think he got it all.”
The veteran superstar continued that he was thankful for the fact that Vince McMahon did give him a chance to show what the Ultimate Deletion was all about.
It became a success with the only chance received on TV. But then again, WWE put a halt on it,
“I know when he watched the Ultimate Deletion he said ‘well people seem to like it, I don’t know if I get it’.
But, the thing that I do give Vince credit for is he allowed me to do it. He allowed me to have that Ultimate Deletion, did give us an opportunity to do that, and internally it was a success, it did well.”
Matt Hardy returned on WWE TV by doing a match against Buddy Murphy on the post-Survivor Series episode of Monday Night Raw only to come up short.
As noted on twitter, he is going through a crisis in his career.
