The final WWE premium live event for this year was announced in the form of NXT Deadline 2023, a couple of days ago. There won’t be any main roster event in the month of December but this event is under the NXT banner to wrap things up in WWE’s PLE schedule. It’s now been confirmed that the unique Survivor Challenge will return to the event that’s been introduced to WWE programming just last year.
Previously, WWE announced that NXT Deadline 2023 will take place on Saturday, December 9 at Bridgeport, Connecticut’s Total Mortgage Arena. Tickets for the PLE will be going on sale on October 6 at 10 AM ET. For the time being, Bron Breakker, Roxanne Perez, Tiffany Stratton, Carmeloa Hayes, and the new NXT Women’s Champion Ilja Dragunov, alongside the NXT Tag Team Champions Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo are being advertised.

Also, during last night’s No Mercy PLE, it was announced that the NXT Deadline 2023 premium live event will also bring back the Iron Survivor Match. Both the matches from the Men’s and Women’s divisions will be held in order to determine the number-one contenders for the NXT and NXT Women’s Championships, respectively.

Rules declared for Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline 2023
* Five superstars will compete in this unique 25-minute Match as they battle each other and the clock.
* Two superstars will start the match and every five minutes a new superstar will enter the match until all five are in the ring.
* The goal is to have the most falls when the clock hits 25 minutes.
* Falls can be won at any time via pinfall, submission, or disqualification.
* When a superstar scores a fall they will earn one point.
* However, when a superstar loses a fall, that superstar must pay the penalty. They are forced out of the ring and into a penalty box for 90 seconds.
* Once the 90 seconds are up, the superstar can re-enter the match.
* The superstar who has scored the most falls when the clock hits 25 minutes will be named the Iron Survivor and become the No. 1 Contender for the NXT Championship and NXT Women’s Championship, respectively.
There are no updates on which of the WWE Superstars will be competing in the Iron Survivor Challenge Matches set for NXT Deadline 2023. In the men’s bout last year, Grayson Waller defeated Carmelo Hayes, JD McDonagh, Joe Gacy, and Axiom to get a shot at Bron Breakker’s NXT Title. In the women’s counterpart, Roxanne Perez defeated Zoey Stark, Cora Jade, Kiana James, and Indi Hartwell to earn a shot at then-NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose.
