Paige was forced to go to early retirement almost five years ago due to a neck injury that was already bothering her for some time. After that, she kept herself busy with various projects in the WWE until the COVID-19 pandemic hit the scene. Afterward, she was literally sitting out of WWE context for the remaining part of her tenure.
Nonetheless, Paige managed to churn out a dream run on Twitch as she went on to become the highest earner on the platform. Now, her contract with the WWE has expired as she remains a free agent. That keeps the option open to signing with whatever company she wants in the future. Impact veteran Gail Kim recently said that the former WWE Superstar would be welcomed at the promotion.

For the first time in over a decade, the cornerstone figure WWE Women’s Evolution period is no longer under a contract that stirred things around her. Given that Paige still wants to go back to competition, she has been invited to compete in the Knockouts division of IMPACT.

Veteran superstar invited Paige to come to IMPACT
Gail Kim, another pioneer in women’s wrestling was recently questioned by Steve Fall of NBC Sports Boston about whether or not Paige can join IMPACT if the scenario is correct. She said that she admires what Paige has accomplished in the women’s wrestling business. Kim stated that the door is open for the youngest NXT Women’s Champion to appear in WWE’s rival brand,
“Never say never. I love Paige. I admire everything that she’s done for women’s wrestling. She also came up kind of in that period where, maybe, it was so powerful — like what it is now — women’s wrestling is probably at its best right now.
Main eventing pay-per-view shows, it’s not an irregular thing for that to happen. Paige was part of that process. I have nothing but respect for her in and outside of the ring, and hey, if she wants to come over to IMPACT Wrestling, I feel like the door’s open. So, come on over, Paige.”
The reigning Knockouts Champion, Jordynne Grace, has also expressed her desire to wrestle Paige but the latter is yet to respond. The latter name was forced to prematurely retire after getting kicked from the back by Sasha Banks during a 2017 WWE MSG Live Event. Since then, she’s not wrestled in a match but rather served as the General Manager of Smackdown or for The Kabuki Warriors.
