An eventful episode of WWE Raw went down last night that confirmed the potential main event of Summerslam between Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre. Orton kicked off the night with a promo where he bragged about his own career. He noted how the great names like WWE Hall of Famers The Rock and Steve Austin can’t hold a candle to him.
Randy Orton went on and said he’s missing something from his run is dominant run in the WWE and that is another WWE Title reign. He then proceeded to challenge McIntyre to a title match at SummerSlam 2020. He also added how an RKO could shatter McIntyre’s dreams and he’d not even have a clue about it.
Later the night, Drew McIntyre responded to the challenge, positively before competing in a non-title affair against Dolph Ziggler. It was an Extreme Rules match that ended McIntyre executing the Claymore Kick on the Show-Off. But he could barely enjoy the win as The Viper was ready to strike.
Randy Orton dropped the WWE Champion with an ‘RKO outta nowhere’ living up to his promise from earlier the night.
Following this, WWE.com confirmed that The King of Claymore Country, Drew McIntyre will indeed defend his WWE Title against The Apex Predator, Randy Orton at Summerslam 2020,
