Randy Orton has been away from WWE TV for a couple of months while the actual reason for his hiatus hasn’t been let known. But the hope is that he would be back in time to feature on the Summerslam 2021 card. Going by the current storyline situation, this should happen, this coming edition of Monday Night Raw to set up a major title match at the PPV event, scheduled for later this month.
WWE RAW Tag Team Champion Omos vs. Riddle has been announced for tomorrow night. This marks Omos’ second-only singles match on the main roster while He defeated Erik back on the July 12 RAW show in his first singles outing. This match would take place after Riddle lost to John Morrison on last week’s RAW, and was then attacked by Omos’ partner AJ Styles while Omos destroyed Riddle’s scooter.
The Undertaker Trends After WWE Releases Bray Wyatt From Contract
As you can see, a 2-on-1 situation has been created, making way for Randy Orton to return and help his former tag team partner. There have been rumors on Riddle and Orton possibly challenging Omos and AJ, perhaps at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view on August 21 in Las Vegas. The match angle could officially begin if the multi-time world champion does make his WWE return, this Monday night.

Randy Orton is being advertised for Raw
Randy Orton has been away from RAW for some time, but it was reported that WWE officials hoped that he might be back in action in time for RAW in Chicago. Meanwhile, he is scheduled to appear as per the arena’s listing. The dark main event currently advertised by the arena for Monday is Orton, Riddle, and Drew McIntyre vs. Omos, AJ, and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in a huge tag team match.

Furthermore, Randy Orton is also being advertised for more upcoming dates, including the August 7 Supershow at the Hertz Arena in Fort Myers, the August 9 RAW at the Amway Center in Orlando, the August 15 Supershow at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, and the August 16 RAW from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, which will serve as the SummerSlam go-home show for the Raw brand. If these advertisements are any indications then WWE creative team certainly has The Viper on their plans that runs through Summerslam.
