The popular female wrestling journalist Renee Young showed interest in a WWE return in recent times. This especially came after Triple H took over the charge of WWE’s creative team following Vince McMahon’s retirement. Since then a number of former WWE Superstars indeed found their way back to the promotion in the newly implemented environment.
Signing with the WWE, Renee Young worked in a variety of on-screen roles within the promotion and excelled in almost every genre. The first-ever full-time female commentator of Monday Night Raw has quite the fan following owing to which WWE was seemingly interested to bring her back.

Rumors also started swirling around Renee Young possibly going to AEW after Fightful Select reported the following,
“A WWE target could be heading to AEW if they’ve heard correctly. Fightful was told by WWE sources on Friday night that they believe Renee Paquette is headed to All Elite Wrestling. Give Me Sport’s Louis has heard that WWE reached out to Renee about coming back to the company, which we’ve yet to confirm.”
Renee Young possibly want to work together with her husband Jon Moxley in AEW
This came as a no-brainer as Renee Young obviously intends to join her husband Jon Moxley in All Elite Wrestling as the latter has recently extended his contract with the company for five more years. Now, more updates around the signing situation have arrived claiming that the real-life is likely to work together in AEW, legit.
According to Dave Meltzer in an article for Sports Illustrated, it was informed that WWE contacted Renee Young to discuss a return prior to the shake-up of the WWE commentary team. However, she turned it down as the former WWE Backstage host didn’t possibly want to feature in commentary or the backstage interviewing process.
Renee Young last worked under a WWE contract in 2020. The night of Summerslam PLE was her final night with the company. She made a one-off appearance, recently during her time away from professional wrestling to feature in A&E Network’s WWE Rivals documentary series. Many believed that could have marked her return to the WWE but that isn’t the case as she’s clearly AEW-bound in the near future to get to travel together with Jon Moxley.
