Rey Mysterio is the greatest Mexican export that WWE has. He is the ultimate underdog who fought against all the odds to make a legendary career out of himself.
Over the years, this superstar has carved the path of his own legacy that must lead him into the WWE Hall of Fame, at some point. But for now, the question remains whether he would stay with the WWE until then.

Reports from PWInsider.com claimed that Rey Mysterio is currently looking forward to leaving WWE.
Basically the situation is that he is not happy in his current position in the company and maybe looking for the exit door.
No further details are available exactly why he has entered an unhappy state, as of now. But his present deal would certainly allow him to leave based on a clause.
As per PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, Rey Mysterio has a clause that allows him to ‘opt-out of the promotion if he was dissatisfied with the ongoing situation’.
As a result, The Master of 619 can decide to leave the WWE at any point. Rumors are also ongoing that he may decide to quit within Wrestlemania 36 arrives in April 2020.

However, his contract reportedly runs till March 2020 as per a number of media reports.
WWE will not allow a veteran like Rey Mysterio to quit that easily, though. He had to sit out of competition for a long time due to injury after re-signing with the promotion in 2018.
So, the company would add time to the current deal to make up the amount of time he spent in the sidelines.
The year 2019 has been quite interesting in the WWE in terms of competition.
All Elite Wrestling appeared on the scene providing one more option for the wrestlers to sign with when they think of a backup option other than WWE.
A number of wrestlers have already requested their release from the biggest pro-wrestling promotion of the world whereas many have also re-signed.
Rey Mysterio might be thinking at this point which league he should join in the near future.
