Roman Reigns rules the roost to the WWE about whom the creative team always needs to be ready. The main event attraction is already booked to be the headliner of the upcoming Wrestlemania 38 against perhaps the bitter-most rival of his storied WWE career. WWE perhaps also has plans chalked out about him once the mega event passes by.
There’s been a lot of speculation on new opponents for Roman Reigns after he faces WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg at Elimination Chamber, and then Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38. Top WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre could be on the line to face him, next on SmackDown as per the rumors. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter also reports that the feud is set to happen down the line.

It’s been noted by the source that McIntyre is very much in the plans to be an opponent for Roman Reigns at some point. But the recent injury issues could have pushed him back in the line. There had been talks of doing McIntyre vs. Reigns program in the early part of this year to make way towards Lesnar at Wrestlemania 38. But with so much happening at this point, the officials believe that the match will be better for later in the year.

Roman Reigns vs. Big E could be a huge program on Smackdown
Back at Royal Rumble, the original plan was for Lesnar to destroy everyone, but McIntyre was supposed to give him troubles before the final elimination. Eventually, Lesnar eliminated McIntyre with the intention of reinitiating the feud in the future.
Big E is also a part of some rumors on possibly challenging Roman Reigns with his recent move from RAW back to SmackDown. It was noted by The Observer that Big E moving back to SmackDown was to make The New Day reunited, once again. He was not specifically brought over to be an opponent for The Tribal Chief, or to have a singles run on the blue brand.
But Big E vs. Roman Reigns could eventually happen down the line because the company will constantly be in need of new opponents for the top-most superstar of Smackdown. Since Roman has literally become untouchable in recent times, they will have depth issues when it comes to credible challengers. But the potential E vs. Reigns feud reportedly had nothing to do with E entering the blue brand.
