As a massive babyface figure, Ronda Rousey debuted in the WWE at the beginning of 2018 during that year’s Royal Rumble event. Two months later at Wrestlemania 34, she made an in-ring debut and straight jumped into the championship picture. From there, it didn’t take long for her to become one of the mainstays of WWE’s women’s division.
In 2018, Ronda Rousey eventually became the RAW Women’s Champion at Summerslam by defeating Alexa Bliss. Moving on, she also became the longest-reigning Raw Women’s Champion on the red brand for that point. Eventually, she dropped the belt to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35 as the top heel of the company before going into a long hiatus.
Fans started turning on Ronda Rousey during the 2018 Survivor Series which appeared to be one of the major turning points in her career. Ronda Rousey doesn’t want fan reactions to get her emotional
After that instance, Ronda Rousey made it clear that she does not like fan opinions whatsoever. She is currently booked as a babyface on Smackdown but whenever she feels she does showcase her heel persona. While speaking with NY Post, her best buddy Shayna Baszler stated that she feels the top WWE Superstar doesn’t care about fan reactions or anything else, at this point in her WWE career.
“I feel like there was a side of her that was like, ‘OK you’re cheering for me now, but I know how this is. Now she is in this mode where, like, she just doesn’t care. Boo her, cheer her, whatever. She’s just doing what she does.
Coincidentally, I think it’s getting her more cheers now than she was before. I think when she first came back it was, ‘OK, I’ll do what you guys are thinking,’ But now it’s, ‘screw you, I don’t care what you’re thinking, I’m doing this.’ That’s always kind of been Ronda anyway.”
