Liv Morgan (c) vs. Ronda Rousey has been made official for the Extreme Rules premium live event set for tonight. Despite the protected status of the challenger on WWE TV, the reigning Smackdown Women’s Champion is confident enough to go through yet another title defense. After all, she is the only one to pin the former MMA Star on two separate occasions in WWE.
Ahead of the title bout, Morgan took to Twitter, recently and blamed Ronda Rousey for not caring enough or not trying it hard for the professional wrestling fans,
“She can.. she just doesn’t care or try hard enough. I’m your champion because I love it more.”

This is one aspect of Ronda Rousey’s career that some of the fans would be agreed to. Previously, she used to get booed by the fans for the exact same reason despite the fact that she never really wanted to feature in a part-time schedule ever since coming to the WWE. However, things are changed these days as fans on Smackdown are cheering her in a big way, no matter what.

Ronda Rousey engaged in a feud with Liv Morgan for the entire 2022 summer
Liv Morgan won the Money In The Bank 2022 edition and then cashed it in on Ronda Rousey on the same night to become the new Smackdown Women’s Champion. The latter even congratulated her for the win showing sportsman spirit but things went in a different direction from Summerslam onward.
The former Riott Squad member retained her title against The Baddest Woman on the Planet at SummerSlam under controversial circumstances. Morgan actually tapped out but still managed to pin her opponent since the referee never saw the tap-out. This led to Morgan getting booed by fans. She then defeated Shayna Baszler at WWE Clash At The Castle to retain the title.

On the very next episode of Smackdown, Ronda Rousey became the Number-One contender to Morgan’s SmackDown Women’s Title by winning a Fatal Five-Way Elimination Match defeating the likes of Xia Li, Sonya Deville, Natalya, and Lacey Evans. The match came down to Rousey and Deville and the latter tapped out to the Ankle Lock submission by the former.
