Ronda Rousey has been a regular fixture on WWE programming since her return to the company in early 2022. Apart from the televised matches on Smackdown and Premium Live Events, she’s also continuously appearing on WWE Live Events on a regular basis. She was found doing interesting gestures in a recent appearance of those.
A clip has surfaced from a WWE live event in Atlantic City, New Jersey where the show saw a tag team match where Ronda Rousey and Shayna Bazsler took on Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah. It could be seen that The Baddest Woman on the Planet looked at Rodriguez and did the latter’s signature back-pose. Raquel looked on as she stood on the ring-apron.
Ronda Rousey Suffered Rare Championship Match Loss At WWE Live Event
After that incident, Raquel appeared on an episode of WWE’s The Bump on YouTube and she was asked about her thoughts on Ronda Rousey mocking her during the house show. She had quite a unique response as she apparently felt flattered after the top superstar did her back pose.
“She has a different attitude, especially in the locker-room on SmackDown. But, as they say, immitation is the biggest form of flattery, right? So I’m gonna take it from what it is, and say Ronda, she loves me, she loves my back pose. She’s teaching her baby girl about it, my niece does it So, I mean, thank you Ronda. Thank you,” Raquel stated.
WWE Trying To Make Raquel Rodriguez “A Big Star” On The Roster
Ronda Rousey and Raquel Rodriguez already competed on Smackdown
Ronda Rousey returned to WWE programming after about two weeks of absence since Summerslam. On that night, she lost her title match opportunity to Liv Morgan in a controversial fashion. She proceeded to attack Morgan and WWE officials after the match and got fined and suspended, indefinitely. She then appeared on Smackdown to offer the money that WWE had fined her.
Back at Wrestlemania Backlash in May, Ronda Rousey defeated Charlotte Flair in an I Quit Match to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Interestingly, Raquel Rodriguez was the first superstar to challenge her on the very first night of Smackdown after the title match win. The young star was unsuccessful in her attempt to upstage the former UFC Superstar. But Ronda ultimately lost the title to Liv Morgan via the latter’s Money in the Bank contract cash-in.
