The singles encounter between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey remains a dream fight sequence for the WWE Universe. Since the latter had returned on WWE TV, earlier this year, many fans believed that it would only be a matter of time before we would get to see the fight but WWE put a hold on the program perhaps with a bigger date in mind for the bout to happen.
While Ronda Rousey has been a top attraction on Smackdown television, Becky Lynch has also remained one of the top attractions of Raw television for the past year. She has delivered some big matches in recent history since the comeback at Summerslam 2021. Being a heel personality, she also took the time to send a message to The Baddest Woman on the Planet.
Ronda Rousey Announced For International WWE Live Event In 2022
While speaking to SecondsOut’s Lissy Almeida, Lynch was asked about facing Ronda Rousey at a future WrestleMania event. Big Time Becks stated that the UFC Hall of Famer simply has to step up to her level in order to make the match a reality,
“I mean sure, but now it’s different. We’re in a different position than we were in 2019. I don’t need to step up to her anymore, she needs to step up to my level now. So come on just bring it, Ronnie.”

Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey could happen at Wrestlemania 39
Prior to this, the former Raw Women’s Champion was quite open about getting Ronda Rousey as her opponent at Wrestlemania Hollywood, next year. In fact, reports also claim that WWE wants this match to happen under the bright lights of Hollywood. However, nothing is concrete about this match.

When Ronda Rousey returned and won the Women’s Royal Rumble 2022 edition, fans wondered if she would go on to challenge Becky Lynch for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. But that didn’t happen as the Rumble winner ended up feuding with Charlotte Flair, instead over the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
With Becky Lynch being on Raw and Ronda Rousey on Smackdown, WWE has found a clever way to separate these two women before they’d cross paths. It is unlikely to happen until the next Wrestlemania season begins in 2023. Prior to this, these two were supposed to lock horns at Survivor Series 2018 but that match was canceled due to Lynch’s injury.
