Professional wrestling fans may not be fond of Ronda Rousey at all after instigating remarks a few weeks ago from the UFC Hall of Famer. Donning the in-store heel persona, Rousey took shots at the calling them ‘ungrateful’. She also mentioned pro-wrestling as a fake sport to which she may not be interested, ever again. However, this might just be a kayfabe playing out that doesn’t have to do anything with the return of Ronda Rousey in the future.
Going by the recent reports and the comments from Ronda’s mentor in WWE, those comments may not be serious, at all and we should hear those from a different angle. Triple H recently spoke to TMZ about Ronda Rousey potentially coming back to WWE. He said Ronda Rousey will be welcomed back at any time considering that she is one of the greatest performers that WWE has ever had.
“Of course, we want her. Of course, we do! One of the greatest performers for us ever,” Triple H said to TMZ about Ronda Rousey.
The interview proceeded as Triple H was reminded about Ronda Rousey commenting pro-wrestling being fake while appearing at Steve-O Podcast. The Game stated that maybe the former MMA athlete just loves to infuriate the fans and those comments were nothing to do with the sport, itself. But the fans fell for it and got irate on the former WWE Raw Women’s Champion.
“I think Ronda’s in a place in her personal life where she’s figuring some things out,” Triple H continued. “But, the thing with Ronda is you never know what she is saying. Is she attacking the business really or is she attacking the business because she knows that’s what will light up the fans that love the business?”
Triple H furthermore confirmed that WWE possesses a great relationship with Ronda Rousey and she will be back any time now when she’s done sorting family matters out,
“We still have a great relationship on everything [with Ronda] and when she is ready, absolutely [we’ll have her back].”
Ronda Rousey first made a surprise appearance during Royal Rumble 2018. She teamed up with Kurt Angle to face Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34 in her debut match. She then went on to become the RAW Women’s Champion at SummerSlam 2018 by defeating Alexa Bliss. She would go on to hold the title all the way until WrestleMania 35 where Becky Lynch became the first woman to pin her.
Since then, Ronda Rousey hasn’t been seen on WWE TV. She has been seen in acting, performing on reality shows, and even voicing a character for a Mortal Kombat video game in this impregnation vacation that is getting extended, constantly.
