WWE will hold the second pay-per-view of this month which will take place on January 29 and it will be the Royal Rumble 2022. Nixing the term pay-per-view, WWE is now calling these shows their premium live events. The next one in line brings a lot of excitement alongside it given the unpredictability around it.

Two Rumble matches from the male and female roster will go down at Royal Rumble 2022, as always. Some of the participants for the men’s matchup have already been declared while there’s been no update available regarding the counterpart from the women’s division. Apparently, WWE is dealing with some sort of problems regarding that match.

According to the reports of Wrestling Observer, WWE will be using a lot of NXT wrestlers and Legends for the Women’s Royal Rumble 2022 match. At this point, they don’t have 30 women on the main roster to fill up the thirty spots. Plus, at least a separate title match will be there on the card featuring a champion and a challenger from the women’s division.

“You really don’t need two 1-hour pay-per-view matches on the same show, but the whole thing that it’s got to be equal and it’s go to be 30 I’m pretty sure that it’s going to be 30.

The other thing is that when it’s a bunch of people that the fans don’t know it kinda makes the match dead. 20 would be 30 on that match, for sure, but for traditional reasons I’m relatively certain that they’re gonna go 30,” the source noted.

Raw Women’s Championship will be on the line at Royal Rumble 2022 where Becky Lynch will defend against a yet-to-be-named opponent. Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, and Doudrop will compete in a Triple Threat on Raw with the winner becoming the new number-one contender to Becky.
