Royal Rumble 2023 card is getting loaded up with each passing episode of Raw and Smackdown. The latest blue brand episode from Green Bay, Wisconsin saw Rey Mysterio declaring his entry into the upcoming Men’s Royal Rumble Match as he was addressing his longstanding issues with the Judgment Day stable and his son Dominik who is also a member of the faction.
In the first WWE Smackdown live-in-person appearance in months, Rey remembered how Dominik trespassed into his house, trying to ambush him. However, he added that will not change his plans for the future and that he will still be participating in the Royal Rumble 2023 match,
“I came to SmackDown for a fresh start. And I’m not gonna let Dominik provoke me. To prove my point, I know exactly what I need to do to get back on track — and that is by entering and winning the Royal Rumble Match.”

The promo segment was cut short by Karrion Kross who came out to the ring alongside Scarlett to insult Rey by saying his career is a failure just like he failed to raise his son. An irate Rey got involved in a brawl with Kross. Scarlett tripped Rey from doing a 619 and thus allowed Kross to lock in The Kross Jacket submission to choke out Rey.
Apart from making the Royal Rumble 2023 announcement, Rey was later added to a match against Kross that will take place on the January 27 episode of SmackDown also serving as the final stop before the upcoming pay-per-view event.

Latest entries into the Rumble matches
Besides Rey Mysterio, Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER and Baron Corbin are the latest entries into the Rumble match. Previously, Kofi Kingston, Santos Escobar, Ricochet, Austin Theory, Seth Rollins, and Bobby Lashley confirmed their entries that leave 21 spots to be filled for the Men’s Rumble.
Raquel Rodriguez also declared her entry into the Women’s Royal Rumble 2023 match during a backstage segment on Smackdown. Liv Morgan, Candice LeRae, and Rhea Ripley are other confirmed participants which leave 26 spots to be occupied.
