AEW wrestler Saraya better known as Paige to the WWE Universe possesses a colorful life that has already been converted into a movie. In fact, she is the only professional wrestler to have a full-length feature film based on her life. Without a doubt, the anti-Diva has a lot of stories to offer which is just more than interesting.

On that note, it’s to be informed that Saraya has been an LGBTQ wrestler which may come as shocking info to many. After Pro Wrestling Illustrated released their Women’s 150 for last year, Outsports announced that 19 of the women on the list were LGBTQ.

It was also pointed out by them that since Paige in 2014, there hasn’t been a bi, lesbian, or transwoman at the top of the list. Now that, she is back in competition in the AEW, hopefully, she will go back to the list with pride in due course if she gets the opportunity to perform at a high level in 2023.

Saraya confessed to be with girls on Total Divas

During her WWE days, Saraya wasn’t widely known as being bisexual. However, the secret was out after an episode of the WWE Total Divas reality TV series in 2015 on the E Network. During a January episode, she admitted to being with women in the past.

It all happened during a conversation featuring WWE Divas Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes, and the-then Paige as they were hanging out at Alicia’s house. The latter revealed that she’s hooked up with girls before.

“So you have been with a girl then?” Rosa curiously asked Paige as she had an interest in girls. “Well, yes,” Paige responded. “It’s the twenty-first century. I just said that!” “My feelings for Paige have totally evolved,” Rosa later confessed. “Now that I know she’s been with women, it’s worth exploring for sure.”

This side of Saraya was not much explored on Total Divas, thereafter as she was ousted from the show after a couple of seasons due to her conflicts with the company. After a long hiatus in 2019-17, she returned to TV in late 2017 only to be sidelined from action, permanently due to a neck injury. After a trifecta of neck surgeries, now she’s back in the ring for the AEW, hoping to stretch her career as much as she can.
