Very often, AEW’s Saraya fka Paige in WWE is compared to CM Punk due to their controversial character. These two had a lot in common from getting into conflict with their former employers and despite remaining the absolute fan-favorites over the years.

After enjoying successful careers in WWE, both Saraya and CM Punk also found a new home in the AEW to progress with their careers. While the female talent has been a regular fixture on AEW TV, her admittedly favorite colleague is yet to find his way back to the company since AEW All Out 2022 last September. Going by the recent reports, the path to the comeback to AEW has been clear after the two parties had thorough talks.

“I’ve Never Let My Personal Feelings Get In The Way,” Saraya Discusses CM Punk’s 2023 AEW Return 1

It’s recently been reported that The Second City Saint will be returning to AEW programming as the main attraction for their new show AEW Collision, which will be a two-hour show, a third weekly show from AEW on their programming. However, not everyone is thrilled with Punk’s returning news especially The Young Bucks as they’re not-so-ready to work with the former WWE Champion.

Saraya wants the AEW locker room to make a truce with CM Punk

That’s not the case with Saraya who possesses a fine rapport with the former Straight Edge Leader. While speaking to BBC, the anti-Diva talked about CM Punk returning to AEW. Unlike many of the pro-wrestling critics and some of her AEW roster members, she was in full support of the comeback. Admittedly, the top female talent wanted the AEW locker room to find common ground with CM Punk.

“[Punk has] always been an absolute sweetheart to me. [We’ve] never had any conflict whatsoever. He’s been very helpful, given a lot of advice over the years,” Saraya stated.

“I want whatever’s best for business. If people don’t like each other, you have to find that common ground in a professional setting, you know? … There’s been people I don’t like over the years, but I’ve never let my personal feelings get in the way of business at the end of the day.”

“I’ve Never Let My Personal Feelings Get In The Way,” Saraya Discusses CM Punk’s 2023 AEW Return 2

In the conversation, Saraya rightly said that Punk’s return would be great from AEW’s perspective, at this point. His addition to their TV show would result in a boost for their upcoming All In show in London although released tickets are already doing pretty well. Besides, AEW’s launch of Collision will require a star power like him much like he pulled in a great viewership during Rampage’s debut.
