Saraya, formerly known as Paige, surprised the pro-wrestling world by showing up on AEW Dynamite TV in September 2022. After weeks of speculations regarding her in-ring career, she finally announced to be medically cleared to wrestle. She proceeded to throw a challenge to the top AEW female superstar Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D to get booked in her returning match at AEW Full Gear.
This is certainly a dream come true for the UK native pro-wrestler who started wrestling at the age of just 13 and since then this sport has been her life. The journey for Saraya wasn’t that easy as she had to overcome not only an injury but also a private media leak incident that literally ruined the happiness of her life.

It was back in March 2017, the then-Paige (Saraya) faced the biggest nightmare of her life as some of her private photos and videos in compromised position were leaked on the Internet. The former WWE Superstar got so depressed as she admittedly wanted to commit suicide after that incident.

Saraya got support from her father after private media leak
Thankfully, the anti-Diva overcame the tragic incident and got back to the wrestling world. During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Saraya remembered those tough days when she survived after getting tremendous support from her father.
The two-time WWE Divas Champion proceeded to mention that people often think that it was herself to spread those stuff on the internet but it was her then-boyfriend who had possibly done it,
“People just think that I put them on the Internet. I’m like I would never, that wasn’t even on my phone.
That stuff wasn’t on my cloud, it was on my boyfriend’s (at the time) phone, and so I believe it was him. He can deny all he wants, but I believe it was him because no one else had that stuff.” (quotes courtesy WWFOldSchool)
While no particular name was confirmed, Saraya was dating former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio in early 2017 and the two were also living in together in San Antonio, Texas going by their social media updates. The two went their separate ways after going through a mutual breakup, later that year.
Shortly after the split, the then WWE Superstar returned to TV in November but just a mother later in December 2017, she suffered a devastating neck injury that took away her wrestling career. It was in April 2018 that she was forced to announce her retirement but AEW made way for their Saraya to be back in action.
