All Elite Wrestling has a gem on their roster in the form of Saraya who also is a former WWE Divas Champion. After spending multiple years in the company, she has already proven her worth as a trailblazer in the entire professional wrestling circuit. A neck injury halted her career in 2017 but now she’s back in competition on a limited basis after joining the AEW roster.

The promotion does offer a variety of content to their fanbase including hardcore matches. Intergender matches are also one of the old-school formats that could regularly be brought back into the context and Saraya won’t be opposed to the idea.

The anti-diva recently spoke about possibly facing a male wrestler in AEW on the Whoo’s House Podcast. The AEW wrestler shared her idea by saying that not every superstar or fan should be agreeing to have this kind of match but when it comes to her, Saraya herself is open to having an intergender match if only the fans would like it,

“I feel like people are really sensitive in this world currently, and it’s really hard to do matches like that without someone being offended by it. I would love to do matches like that.”

Saraya wants to work a match with Chris Jericho

Intergender wrestling matches used to be a regular feature back in the days on WWE TV but it also caused debate throughout the years among wrestling fans about whether it’s necessary to pit male talents against female talents. Critics and fans may not like seeing men wrestle women, especially now that wrestling has turned PG. However, there are hardcore fans who could still be interested in seeing these matches, and Saraya isn’t opposed to the idea.

As the conversation progressed, the inaugural WWE NXT Women’s Champion discussed possibly having an intergender match, possibly with Chris Jericho which even DJ Whoo Kid insisted upon. She noted in response that it is something that she has always talked about with her boyfriend, Ronnie Radke.

“It writes itself. I said even Ronnie even wanted to become part of it, like a storyline to do something against Chris Jericho,” said Saraya. Radke added that he loves Jericho, so it’s unclear if he wants to get physical with Jericho,” Saraya added.
