Sasha Banks and Naomi are two top superstars of the WWE who, all of a sudden were supposed to be gone from the company. After creative disputes with WWE officials, they opted to walk out of the brand before a scheduled appearance on Raw. They also were reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions at the time of the walk-out and hence also surrendered their titles.
Since the walk-out, a lot has changed within the WWE. Vince McMahon is no more in charge of the company after announcing his retirement. With Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in charge of running things, there are reports that Sasha Banks and Naomi probably have come to terms make a return to the WWE. In fact, the sources suggested that the impending comeback could happen sooner than later.

Many believed that the return could take place as soon as the post-SummerSlam episode of Raw, this week. However, Sasha Banks and Naomi weren’t scheduled to make an appearance. However, it should happen anytime now. Dave Meltzer discussed the pair’s situation with WWE on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.

The good thing is that if nothing drastic change occurs then Sasha Banks and Naomi is almost confirmed to be back with the WWE,
“That’s what I’m hearing. If everything goes the way it’s expected to go, they’ll [Sasha and Naomi] be back. Yeah. It’s not… I don’t think that the deal was done. I mean, it’s been reported the deal was done.
When I asked people in the company, it was basically, ‘Yeah, that’s what it looks like is going to happen,’ but it’s not like it’s 100% done or you know, everything’s been etched in stone, but the expectation is that they’ll both be back, which, there’s going to be that and I’m sure there’s going to be other people that were unhappy and will probably be back as well.” (Transcription by Ringside News)
As noted above, the time when Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE, they were the reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions. Since that time, the tag titles remain vacant as WWE found it hard to have enough teams onboard to compete for the boards. Now that Bayley has set up a new faction with Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky, they could become the new holders.
That being said, it will be interesting to see how WWE handles the return of Sasha Banks and Naomi. At one point, there was a report claiming that both were removed from the internal WWE roster but in recent times they could have been put back in their positions. But with new backstage powers in charge, things around the two former top superstars will be treated, differently.
