WWE has opened the doors of opportunity for talents from the subcontinent in the past couple of years. Names like Saurav Gurjar received focus on NXT programming who was also touted to be a potential main roster recruit. But lack of the right combination of skills and luck may haven’t allowed him to transition into the mainstay league of the professional wrestling brand.
Going by the recent reports, the former NXT Superstar has already been sent back to India and there are no plans to use him right now. Saurav Gurjar was huge in size who could easily be noticed. As one-half of the Indus Sher faction, he made a name for himself in NXT. Then the team was broken up and subsequently pulled off NXT programming.

Saurav Gurjar was seemingly not ready for television as Shanky and Rinku Singh found the opportunity to form a faction with Jinder Mahal, instead. Ringside News informs that Indian talent has been sent back to his country and it has been done for quite a while. The bad thing is that the source also revealed that they heard of no future plans for him to return on television.

Saurav Gurjar spoiled Keith Lee’s big title win
It was also noted that Saurav Gurjar was the man who accidentally spoiled Keith Lee’s big NXT Title win, almost a year ago during the WWE NXT Great American Bash event. It was a pre-taped show where Gurjar couldn’t resist releasing a video of the victory celebration via his Instagram story and thereby spoiling the outcome of the pay-per-view’s main event.
He later apologized for his actions and also deleted the story but shortly after that Indus Sher was removed from television. Rinku Singh managed to be a tag team partner for Jinder Mahal while Saurav Gurjar was sent back to India. There’s no update on whether this has to do anything with leaking Keith Lee’s big title win, last year.
We will have to wait and see whether a positive situation is created for the Indian talent in due course but there’s no imminent plan. According to Fightful Select, Saurav Gurjar was “deemed not television ready.” This is why the Indus Sher formerly managed by Malcolm Bivens had to be broken up. Jinder Mahal was also flanked by only one member of Indus Sher on the main roster for a similar reason.
