After going into a routine hiatus from WWE programming, Lacey Evans returned to action on the June 2 episode of SmackDown. As has become usual in recent times, she ended up losing a match to Zelina Vega. Since it was a Money in the Bank qualifier match, the returnee also lost the chance to book her spot into the opportunistic ladder match.
While she failed to win her scheduled match on that night, Lacey Evans did manage to make people talk about her due to her appearance. It did include the daughter of Sgt. Slaughter as she was sporting gear, similar to the WWE Hall of Famer.
Lacey Evans mimicked Sgt. Slaughter on Smackdown
Lacey Evans came out sporting a camouflage outfit similar to the pendant attire of Sgt. Slaughter. Many believed that she could be teasing a new alliance with Slaughter being a manager for her in the future. But in reality, the Hall of Famer’s daughter noticed the similarities between her dad’s and the current WWE Superstar’s gear, and decided to put her on blast with the following comments,
“No. This is NOT okay. @WWE Who the f**K does @LaceyEvansWWE think she is?!? There’s only 1 @_SgtSlaughter, there’s only 1 Slaughter Daughter, and she’s just a poser.”

Lacey Evans hit back Sgt. Slaughter’s daughter on Twitter
Lacey Evans noticed the tweet and she was quick to respond with a post of her own. In it, she praised the WWE Hall of Famer while she also ended up challenging his daughter to a fight, “Your daddy’s biggest fan. A United States Marine. And a bad Mfer. [Y]ou know who I am. And where to find me.”
There’s no update on whether this is a scripted feud between the two which could eventually unfold on WWE TV. If this happens then it will be good for Lacey Evans’ drowning career which is going nowhere despite several changes in gimmicks, brand, and characteristics. We’ve to wait and see whether Slaughter’s daughter eventually accepts the fight or not.
In the meantime, Lacey Evans has also indicated having some unfinished business with Zelina Vega. Taking to Twitter, she also accused the Latino World Order member of cheating against her during their MITB qualifier match. She also demanded a rematch, suggesting that their program might continue on Smackdown.
