The volatile situation around the WWE corporate league continues as everyone’s favorite head honcho Stephanie McMahon is gone from her position. Just a few days after Vince McMahon decided to come out of retirement and decided to reinstate himself to WWE’s Board of Directors, his daughter publicly announced that she has stepped down as the co-CEO of the WWE.
The announcement came via Twitter as Stephanie McMahon issued a statement on the social media platform. In her words, she recalled returning to the WWE board, last year to serve as the co-CEO alongside Nick Khan and it was apparently a “privilege” for her. Now that her father has returned to his earlier position with Khan and Paul “Triple H” Levesque remaining in their position she believes that her need is over.

WWE is in a position to deliver “unparalleled creative content and drive maximum value for shareholders,” per Stephanie McMahon’s announcement, and hence she is no more willing to serve as a member of the board.
The previous leave of absence of the Lady Boss for a brief timespan was also acknowledged in the statement. After the hiatus, she’s back in the position of the co-CEO of the company after Vince stepped down amid his sexual misconduct and hush money scandals.
However, it seems that Stephanie McMahon’s latest begun absence should be more permanent, as she announced this one to be her “official resignation” and revealed that she’ll be “cheering on WWE from the other side of the business.” Previously, she was open about focusing on her family away from the WWE. Now that her father alongside previous and current board members are in charge, she’s finally relieved of the duties.

Stephanie McMahon’s departure was put out as a press release that included reactions from her father which goes as follows,
“First, I’d like to express my full support for Stephanie’s personal decision. I’ll forever be grateful that she offered to step in during my absence and I’m truly proud of the job she did co-leading WWE. Stephanie has always been the ultimate ambassador for our company, and her decades of contributions have left an immeasurable impact on our brand.”
Per WWE’s press release, Khan will serve as the company’s CEO moving forward. According to Vince, Khan’s “business acumen and mastery of the media industry have helped catapult our business to record revenue and profitability,” and he looks forward to working with him as WWE explores “strategic alternatives” during this critical juncture in the company’s history.
